Our ERP systems perform tasks for us that we once had to do manually from beginning to end. If we have the right system, we now simply need to maintain the data entered and let it do its job. We invest a lot of time and often a lot of money to make sure our system is used to its fullest and best ability. Isn’t it time we start to consider our ERP software as a hired employee and us its manager? ERP systems are meant to make our lives easier by streamlining processes, maintaining accuracy and providing us the ability to pull information to make decisions at every level of our organization. They have a very important job!
Employees are often expected to have regular reviews with their management teams. Perhaps it’s time to have a review for ERP software as well. Are there areas where its performance is exceptional? Any areas for improvement? Maybe we’ll find we’ve hired an amazing system, or maybe it’s time to invest in a new one. Let’s take a look.
